After a very long day and evening bargaining for a new successor agreement we are pleased to announce that the ATU Local 85 negotiating team has reached a Tentative Agreement with PRT.
👊👊👊

We’d like to recognize ATU International Vice President, Ray Greaves, our legal council Joe Pass Jr & Skye McCollum for their efforts and assistance in reaching this new TA.

A special executive board meeting will take place some time early next week to review the new TA
Followed by a ratification meeting to be scheduled at a later date at which time the members will cast their vote.

Stand with the striking workers at Duquesne Light!

The negotiating committee has been committed to negotiate in good faith and try to reach a deal by the expiration of our current contract. Unfortunately despite our commitment, the union and the company were not able to reach an agreement that our members deserve. At this point the committee will be calling a strike starting at midnight. Stand together, stay strong, and we will continue to fight for the contract you all deserve.

JPI’s own Jim Welker was inducted into the IUP Athletic Hall of Fame in September 2025:

“No player in the history of IUP tennis won more matches—singles and doubles—than Jim Welker. The three-time All-American compiled a 60-9 record in singles and was 56-12 in doubles for an overall record of 116-21.”

This morning our Motion for Class Certification was granted in a wage and hour class action we are litigating on behalf of approximately 1,400 construction workers who worked for Brock at the Shell Cracker Plant. Great news!

Hundreds of contractors who helped build Shell's petrochemical plant in Western Pennsylvania can be represented in a lawsuit seeking pay for extra time they spent being shuttled between the worksite and satellite parking, after a federal judge granted class certification Tuesday.
