Reed Smith is pleased to have served as co-counsel to McKesson Corporation on its agreement with private investment firm CD&R to acquire Option Care Health, Inc., an independent provider of home and alternate site infusion services, at a total enterprise value of $5.8 billion.

Under the agreement, McKesson will invest $1.4 billion for a 49% stake in Option Care Health, and CD&R will hold the remaining 51%. The agreement also sets out a framework for McKesson to acquire CD&R's interest in the future. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2027.

A senior partner in London and chair of our Global Real Estate Group, Jimmy brings significant firm leadership experience and a deep understanding of our clients, people and business. He will also join our Senior Management Team.
