Well these are certainly some trying and interesting times for all Americans. The divide and demand to pick a side based on race is beyond disturbing to us at Code 5 Group. We unapologetically support law enforcement and will never change our stance on that. (And I mean NEVER) Even though we can acknowledge that there may be a few “bad apples” (hate that term) in this industry, as there are in ALL industries, we understand the importance of what you do and appreciate the willingness, dedication and sacrice that the vast majority of you give/make everyday to ensure our safety. Today, I want to specifically address the decisions by Di Bruno Bros in Philadelphia who tried to play both sides, clearly in order to capitalize and then back down and pander on all fronts. Any restaurant in the Philly area that is willing to stand, recognize and support what our law enforcement community does for the citizens of this country and the communities within, regardless of the race of ownership, because that should not matter, please message us and we, along with support from our partners will be happy to bring some sanity back to the conversation and provide meals, waters or whatever else the men and women of ALL races that have made a choice to be a first responder and put their lives on the line while trying to keep the peace and protect us in our neighborhoods may need.
We hope Philly is just the beginning and want to continue this throughout the country to show our support.
