We are proud of Christopher M. Placitella, who helped found Trial Lawyers Care in the days following the September 11 attacks. What began as an effort to provide free legal help to victims and families became the largest pro bono project in U.S. history and continues today as a nationwide community of trial lawyers committed to service.

Cohen, Placitella & Roth proudly celebrates Jared M. Placitella, Esq. on his installation as the Third Vice President of the New Jersey Association for Justice (NJAJ). Jared was installed on June 25, 2026, during the Association’s Installation Dinner at Caesar’s Resort in Atlantic City.
NJAJ, founded in the late 1940s and incorporated in 1976, is the premier statewide organization for trial lawyers. With more than 2,800 members, including attorneys, paralegals, law clerks, law students, and recent graduates. The Association continues its mission to protect New Jersey’s families through advocacy for safer products, safer workplaces, a cleaner environment, and quality health care.

On Monday, members of Cohen, Placitella & Roth participated in the annual charity golf outing benefiting the Daniel B. Allanoff Foundation, a cause our firm has been honored to support for many years.

The DBA Foundation carries on Dan’s legacy by funding cutting-edge blood cancer research at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where scientists continue to use Dan’s preserved leukemic cell line to test promising drug combinations and advance DNA research. The Foundation also works to expand participation in bone marrow donor registries, giving patients fighting blood cancers a better chance at finding a life-saving match.
