I had to remove the most beautiful note I’ve received from another woman (Dolly) bc the trolls were unbearable.

We live in a cruel world and tear others down and then we complain about how fu**ed up the world is.

Be a good person, don’t hide behind a computer, stand for something, and do something worth while.

To the haters - you aren’t affecting me. You are just noise.

But to be clear: using your voice to be cruel does NOT matter.
You are not leaving the world better.
You are noise.
No one cares.

Speak about things that matter.
Stand for something that matters.
Matter in your lifetime.
MATTER.

Another trusted Michigan institution. Another report describing decades of alleged abuse. Another generation of children who deserved to be protected.

As a Michigan kid, I grew up believing **Interlochen** was one of the jewels of our state. I spent time there as a child, and reading the findings of this investigation has been heartbreaking.

This story matters. Please watch.

reshare• Connecticut Senate Republicans Yesterday, CT Senate Republican legislators met with families whose children were s*xually assaulted by a worker at BrightPath daycare in Avon. These parents did everything right. They chose a licensed facility and trusted it to protect their children. That trust was betrayed in the worst way imaginable.

This abuse did not happen in the shadows. It happened inside a daycare with cameras that no one was watching and warning signs that no one acted on. The perpetrator must face the full force of the law and the company that allowed this abuse to happen must answer for it too.

Multiple Republican senators are calling on the Attorney General to launch a full investigation into what happened and how it was allowed to continue. Our senators are also demanding the Office of Early Childhood revoke this company’s license to operate anywhere in the state of Connecticut.

These children were failed by the very system meant to protect them. Their families deserve answers. Connecticut’s children deserve better.

When things go wrong, they don't just go wrong on one level. It is never just a story of one lone bad actor. It is an entire system of breakdown and failures.

Get • Right now, has strict statutes of limitations—time limits that determine how long s*x assault survivors have to file criminal or civil lawsuits.

For many those deadlines expire long before they have recovered enough from the trauma to even speak up, much less think about legal action.

Many states have created “lookback windows” to address that reality. Pennsylvania has not.

This is why legislation matters. Laws vary state by state, and those differences can decide whether survivors are heard or shut out.

, a survivor, advocate and attorney continues to push for a “lookback window” because should not have an expiration date. Many other states have already passed lookback windows, such as and so it’s time for Pennsylvania to do the same!

We are so proud of the work Sarah is doing for survivors!!

I will not be the same after experiencing Jay Sefton’s performance in Unreconciled, co-written by Mark Basquill.

The one-man play, Unreconciled, is more than a theater performance—it’s a reckoning. A raw, unflinching telling of what too many survivors carry, often in silence, for far too long.

This show is extraordinary. It’s devastating. It’s necessary.

Sitting on the post-show panel, I kept thinking: this is why we fight. Because stories like this shouldn’t depend on a stage to be heard. Because justice shouldn’t expire before someone is ready to speak. Because in places like Pennsylvania, survivors are still being shut down by arbitrary statutes that have nothing to do with trauma—and everything to do with silence.

Jay Sefton …. you are extraordinary. Honest in a way that doesn’t let you look away. I am gutted and yet I am hopeful. I am so grateful our paths have crossed.

Today was unforgettable.

Tomorrow, I take it with me to the Harrisburg and continue the fight for window legislation to be passed in PA. See you there, Jay. LFG.

Attorneys Sarah Klein and Eric W. Schoenberg are demanding immediate transparency and accountability from BrightPath, including a full accounting of any prior complaints, a clear timeline of events, and an explanation of the safeguards that were in place to protect children.

“We have spoken to over fifty families at this point and are working to ensure they get answers about the full scope of what occurred while insisting on accountability,” said attorney Sarah Klein. “Parents entrusted their very young children to this facility with the expectation of safety. That trust was broken, and these families were failed.”

Klein also urged parents with concerns to come forward. “Even if a parent is unsure whether their child was harmed, that uncertainty is not insignificant,” Klein said. “Patterns of abuse are often uncovered when families come forward collectively.”

Schoenberg emphasized that many families may never have definitive answers given the age of the children involved. “Families are left sad, angry, overwhelmed, and searching for answers,” he said. “That is where we come in. Transparency from BrightPath is not optional—it is the minimum owed to these families.”

Klein and Schoenberg expect additional warrants to be issued as the investigation continues.
