The Federal Home Loan Bank of New York recently announced its 2026 AHP awardees - and congratulations to one of our PA clients, the Women’s Community Revitalization Project on their award!

WCRP received $2.5 million AHP funding for the Evelyn Sanders Development, which will rehabilitate 71 units of affordable housing in the Fairhill neighborhood in North Philadelphia. WCRP builds housing for families, and the Evelyn Sanders Developments are home to longtime, multigenerational families, especially elderly persons. The award will help critical improvements needed to preserve the existing buildings as quality affordable housing.

More exciting news for our clients this summer! Congratulations to our clients Drueding Center and Germantown Life Enrichment Center (GLEC) on their recent HOME-ARP awards!

The Drueding Center will provide 26 two- and three-bedroom affordable housing units in Olde Kensington for families experiencing or at risk of homelessness, paired with extensive supportive services. The project was recently awarded $5.12 million in Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency HOME-ARP funding, in addition to $5.76 million in HOME ARP funds from the Philadelphia Housing Development Corporation, and is expected to begin construction in early 2027.

The Germantown Life Enrichment Center will rehabilitate 128 existing SRO units and add 4 newly constructed units, resulting in 132 permanent supportive housing units for homeless individuals. The project has received $2.5 million in Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency HOME-ARP funding and $5 million in HOME ARP funds from the Philadelphia Housing Development Corporation.

Congratulations to our clients on their recent awards from the PHARE 2025 round! Stone Sherick worked with 9 different clients and received $1.8 million in total awards, serving 3 counties across Pennsylvania.

Funds will be used for unique purposes, from helping new construction of deeply affordable housing to addressing critical renovations for existing buildings to make safety and energy efficiency improvements. The PHARE awards will help serve 102 total units and 53 emergency shelter beds across our 9 awarded clients. We congratulate all our clients and are grateful to be a part of the process!

Stone Sherick Consulting Group congratulates Deliverance CDC, Courtside Video Entertainment, and Philly House on their successful awards in this highly competitive funding round, securing a total of $9 million in RACP funding for these three impactful projects.

Stone Sherick prepared the RACP applications and helped build stakeholder support across Pennsylvania for successful applications for these three projects.

The funding will support three different projects with significant community impact: 56 units of affordable senior housing through Deliverance Gardens, the redevelopment of 118,000 square feet of former industrial sites into a dynamic, multi-use campus for Courtside Video Entertainment, and the continued rehabilitation of the Philly House Welcome Center to help transform the shelter’s service space into a welcoming environment for individuals experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia.

Here's a look at the latest progress taking place at the 17th Street Community Corridor, where work continues on a development that will provide 40 affordable rental homes and connect residents with Pathways to Housing PA's supportive services.

Earlier this month, Stone Sherick was honored to be part of the ribbon cutting for Clearfield Apartments, a new LIHTC development bringing 48 affordable senior housing units to a formerly vacant industrial site in the Allegheny West neighborhood.

We assisted NewCourtland & The Allegheny West Foundation in acquiring the parcel from the city, getting zoning approval, and securing financing from PHFA, FHLB, and HUD, as well as rent subsidies from PHA.

We are proud to help our clients transform vacant blighted land into much-needed, quality affordable housing for those in need.

This project is turning a former school building into 20 affordable apartment homes, creating new opportunities for residents while giving an existing space a new purpose.

Progress continues along Germantown Avenue as North10 Philadelphia moves forward with the historic Carman Gardens Adaptive Reuse Project.

The former roller skating rink is being transformed into a full-service health and wellness center, bringing primary care, behavioral health, dental, pharmacy, and social services to the community.
