Hey, new followers! Welcome to Next of Kin Plan™
I’m Kay Richardson, founder, wife, mother of two adult sons and the person my own family expects to know what to do when something happens.
This work is personal to me.
At 13, I helped keep our household going when my mother temporarily lost her sight.
Years later, my family learned that my grandmother’s assets had gone unclaimed for 14 years.
Those experiences taught me that documents matter. But assuming your family will know what exists, where everything is and what to do first isn’t enough.
That’s why I created Next of Kin Plan.
We help families organize the practical information a trusted loved one would need during illness, caregiving, incapacity or loss.
Whether you have a will or not, your family still needs to know what exists, where to find it, who to contact and where to begin.
A Next of Kin Plan helps make that possible.
If you’re new here, tell me which role sounds most like you:
A. I’m preparing my family to step in.
B. I’m the person who may have to step in for someone else.
C. Honestly, I’m both.
