⚡ OWATONNA—THIS IS WHAT WAS ROLLING IN WHILE MOST OF THE CITY WAS SLEEPING! ⚡

The approaching severe weather meant I couldn’t conduct my normal overnight lost-pet searches. So, during the brief window before conditions deteriorated, I captured the storm moving across Southern Minnesota—and the sky absolutely EXPLODED with lightning!

This was one of the most incredible lightning displays I have ever captured. Watch it full-screen and tell me: Did this storm wake you up? Comment your town and tell me what it looked like where you were!

⚡ OWATONNA—THIS IS WHAT WAS HEADED OUR WAY WHILE MOST OF THE CITY WAS SLEEPING! ⚡

Normally, this is when SkyView Drone Services would be out searching for a missing dog or cat. But with severe weather approaching, the conditions weren’t safe for a normal overnight search mission.

So, during the brief window before the storm moved in, I decided to capture it rolling across Southern Minnesota—and the sky absolutely EXPLODED with lightning!

These are some of the most incredible storm photographs I have ever captured. Watching the lightning illuminate the clouds from the inside was unreal.

Saw some weird things flying around in the sky tonight. I could only see them with thermal. This was while i was checking out the moon tonight and saw something fly past it.. Check it out!

I went looking for the northern lights…and discovered my Matrice 4T can practically double as a telescope! 🤯🌙

I zoomed in on the moon and captured an incredible view of the lunar eclipse. I definitely wasn’t expecting this when I launched the drone!

I took the Matrice 4T out tonight hoping to catch a glimpse of the aurora borealis—but ended up discovering something completely unexpected!

I had no idea this drone could practically double as a telescope. I zoomed in on the moon and captured some incredible photos of the lunar eclipse. 🌕🌑

I went looking for the northern lights and came home with a front-row seat to an eclipse. Nights like this are exactly why I love flying!

Owatonna, you’ve never seen the Steele County Free Fair like THIS! 😍🎡🔥

The lights. The rides. That sunset. Our hometown fair looks absolutely incredible from above! 🌅

My drone was giving me some trouble, so I didn’t get as much footage as I wanted—but I couldn’t keep this view to myself.

OK, OWATONNA… OUR FAIR LOOKS INCREDIBLE FROM ABOVE! 😍🎡✨

The Steele County Free Fair is always something special, but seeing the entire fairgrounds light up against that Minnesota sunset? That’s a whole different experience. 🌅

I’ll be honest—the drone I decided to use was giving me some trouble, so I didn’t get nearly as many photos as I wanted. But there was no way I wasn’t sharing the ones I managed to capture!

From the Ferris wheel to the midway, every corner of the fair was glowing. Pretty cool seeing our hometown like this. ❤️
