On September 24, 2025, The Law Offices of Katia L. Wilson, PLLC proudly celebrated its four year anniversary. In commemoration of this milestone, Attorney Katia L. Wilson, Esq., in her capacity as President of the Legal Rattler Alumni Association, had the distinct honor of welcoming recent FAMU College of Law graduates who successfully passed the bar examination into the Association.

This celebration coincided with the announcement that Attorney Wilson has been selected as a member of Florida A&M University’s 2025 Class of “40 Under 40” Alumni Honorees. As a three time graduate of FAMU, Attorney Wilson considers this recognition especially meaningful. She credits the University with providing the foundational opportunities, education, and support that have been instrumental in the continued success and growth of her firm.

My client with his family after court yesterday.

Original charges:

1. Robbery while armed with a firearm (punishable by life felony)
2. Kidnapping
3. Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon
4. Aggravated Battery by Strangulation
5. Aggravated Assault with a Deadly weapon
6. Grand Theft III
7. Witness Tampering

Charges 1-6, DISMISSED!

My client was sentenced to 4 years probation for witness tampering. He can early terminate after 2 years if he doesn't violate. There was also a withhold of adjudication, so this will be expunged from his record. All wins don't come in the form of not guilty, but 6 out of 7 charges dismissed is a win in my book.

I finally set up my Google business account over the weekend. I went live on Sunday and was fortunate enough to close a case on Monday, so I was able to get my first review. 🙌🏿
