Over the past five years it has been an honor and a privilege to help so many wonderful clients.

But what's most rewarding, is how happy my clients have been with my services. I could easily do my job without really caring about clients on a personal level, but I do care about every one of my clients, and I'm so proud and honored they see how much I care.

Wishing everyone a happy and safe holiday season, and a great 2016!

SF’s First Parking-Protected Bike Lane Outside a Park Opens on 13th Street

This is awesome news. And it will absolutely save lives! Let your voice be heard, and tell your leaders you want safe streets for cars, bikes, and pedestrians.

SF’s first parking-protected bike lane outside of Golden Gate Park is open for business on 13th Street. The lane runs westbound on 13th, connecting existing bike lanes between Bryant Street and Folsom Street, underneath the Central Freeway.

Turns onto Market Street to be limited

Exciting changes coming to Market Street. San Francisco is one of the few cities that still has a "main street." Imagine a Market Street filled with pedestrians, bicycles, and transit. I think this is a step in that direction, and it'll be great for residents and for businesses.

The push to divert private cars off of congested central Market Street will accelerate in August when drivers traveling between Eighth and Third streets will no longer be able to turn onto the main thoroughfare. On Tuesday, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency Board of Directors is expe…

Man on Bike Killed by Muni Bus Driver at Bryant and Division | Streetsblog San Francisco

There have been far too many accidents in SOMA for far too long. I don't know if it's the high speeds of traffic, the lack of good bike lanes, or the many unusual intersections (I suspect it's all three)... but let your supervisor know you want safer streets in SOMA!

A man riding a bike was killed by a Muni bus driver this morning at the intersection of Bryant, Division and 11th Streets on the southwest end of SoMa, according to media reports.

BART to lift bike ban for five-month pilot July 1 - December 1

Well this happened rather quietly... BART has extended the Bikes on BART trial until december! What does it mean for you? It means you can take your bike on EVERY BART TRAIN until December, even during rush hour. Bikes are not allowed on the first 3 cars of any train, and there are a couple of other rules, but this is great news!

Bicycling - Senseless

I encourage everyone to read this fantastic article about bicycle helmets, their flaws, and the reasons no one has fixed them. It's a bit discouraging, but if everyone knew the facts in the article, things might actually get changed.

A recent This Week in Northern California titled "Pedal Power: The Future of Cycling in the City" -- San Francisco has come a huge distance in the last 10 years... What will the City do next to continue the cycling progress?

To Encourage Biking, Cities Forget About Helmets

Here's an interesting take on bike sharing programs and helmets. Many cities are cutting helmets out of the equation to increase ridership. “Statistically, if we wear helmets for cycling, maybe we should wear helmets when we climb ladders or get into a bath, because there are lots more injuries during those activities.” Could an emphasis on helmets be hurting the growth of recreational cycling? Maybe the best answer is a middle-ground, where helmets are available and encouraged, but not required.

Does requiring safety gear make a safe activity seem dangerous?

Riding around the Bay Area you may have seen "sharrows" on the ground. Sharrows serve two primary purposes. First, they remind motorists to be on the lookout for cyclists. Perhaps more importantly, in San Francisco sharrows are very carefully placed, so that riding down the center of the arrow should keep you out of the path of an opening door. Keep that in mind, and don't ride too close to parked cars.

There are enough hazards in the road already, don't be your own hazard! An "ABC Quick" check on a regular basis can help keep you safe. Check your Air, Brakes, Crank, Cassette, Chain, and Quick-releases before every long ride. 30 seconds could save your life.
