🚨 SCAM ALERT FOR NOTARIES NATIONWIDE 🚨
Attention Notaries: A sophisticated scam is currently targeting notaries across multiple states using information found in public Secretary of State databases.
Scammers are reaching out through text messages and emails posing as potential clients requesting notarization services, often for a "financial affidavit" or other urgent document. They may appear professional and legitimate.
⚠️ The Red Flag:
Before scheduling the appointment, they insist on a brief Zoom or Google Meet call to "review requirements" or "discuss the document."

The meeting link may contain malware designed to:
• Compromise your device
• Steal passwords and login credentials
• Access sensitive client information
• Gain access to your business accounts
✅ Protect Yourself:
• Verify all client requests before engaging
• Do not click unknown meeting links
• Ask clients to send documents first for review
• Use your own secure meeting platform if a call is necessary
• Keep antivirus and security software updated
• Report suspicious messages and emails immediately
