Two fabulous attorneys from Henricksen Law Office attended the OCCDLA Christmas Party!
Statement from Charles Warner's attorney Lanita Henricksen of TheHenricksenLawOffice: "The case filed in the United States Supreme Court was Charles F. Warner, et al vs. Kevin Gross, et al. , and the grant of certiorari on January 23 by the United States Supreme Court was truly bittersweet. I am truly grateful that our client, Richard Glossip, and the other plaintiffs will benefit by the grant of certiorari. I am stunned, however, that my client, Charles Warner, was allowed to be executed days ago although the case in which he was named as first plaintiff will now be heard by the Supreme Court. This is especially devastating cosidering the fact that the mother of the victim in Mr. Warner's case had requested that he not be executed. But, this is just another example of the problems surrounding the death penalty. It is time to stop ex*****ons and even supporters of the death penalty would benefit by that in terms of the exorbitant amount of savings of taxpayers' money spent on the death penalty."
Mark TheHenricksenLawOffice “It has been my honor to be appointed as Richard Glossip's federal habeas lawyer for the past ten years.”

I want to make a plug for the annual dinner of the Oklahoma Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty. This is a group of noble people who advocate humanity for the weakest and most despised among us. It is thankless work. Please join their annual gathering on April 12 at 6 p.m at the Nigh Center at U.C.O. You can get tickets online at OKCADP.org or call 405-948-1645. I am buying a table. Anyone who otherwise can't go, should write me and come as my guest. Mark Henricksen

Stemple Ex*****on Date Set for March
OKLAHOMA CITY – The Court of Criminal Appeals today set March 15, 2012, as the ex*****on date for Tulsa County death row inmate Timothy Shaun Stemple, 46.
Stemple was convicted and sentenced to death for the murder of his wife, Trisha J. Stemple, 30, on Oct. 24, 1996, along a highway. Evidence showed the victim had been hit multiple times with a baseball bat and repeatedly run over with Stemple’s pickup. The victim died from blunt force trauma to the head and also had fractures to her arm, ribs, pelvis, vertebrae and skull.
Attorney General Scott Pruitt requested the ex*****on date on Jan. 9, after the United States Supreme Court denied the inmate’s final appeal.
