The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is warning drivers not to purchase or use the “Little Passenger Seat”. The bench seats are not certified as meeting Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. The NHTSA recommends motorists who own the seat should stop using it immediately.

OSHA is revising its previous enforcement policy for recording cases of coronavirus. Under OSHA’s recordkeeping requirements, coronavirus is a recordable illness, and employers are responsible for recording cases of the coronavirus, if the case:
Is confirmed as a coronavirus illness;
Is work-related as defined by 29 CFR 1904.5; and
Involves one or more of the general recording criteria in 29 CFR 1904.7, such as medical treatment beyond first aid or days away from work.
The DOL recommends safety measures that employers can implement to protect workers in the nursing home and long-term care industry. These include:
Screen workers and residents regularly for signs and symptoms consistent with the coronavirus. Send sick workers home or to seek medical care.
Closely monitor and take additional precautions regarding employees and residents who may have been exposed.
Ask visitors to inform the facility if they develop a fever or symptoms consistent with the coronavirus within 14 days of their visit.
Maintain at least 6 feet between workers, residents, and visitors to the extent possible.
Continually monitor personal protective equipment (PPE) stocks, burn rate, and supply chains. Develop a process to decontaminate and reuse PPE, such as face shields and goggles, as appropriate. Follow CDC recommendations for optimization of PPE supplies.
Encourage workers to report any safety and health concerns.
Following several grain elevator explosions, OSHA issued the grain handling standard to protect workers from the risk of fire and explosion caused by highly combustible grain dust. As a result, explosions have been reduced by over 40%, saving countless lives.
The Department of Labor has made safety recommendations for employers of pharmacy workers, including:
Encourage customers to submit prescriptions online or by phone. Allow customers to provide their insurance information verbally or virtually.
Increase the use of self-serve checkouts to minimize worker interaction with customers.
Frequently clean and disinfect checkout and customer service counters.
Install clear plastic barriers between workers and customers at order/pickup counters.
Use signage and floor markers to keep waiting customers at least 6 feet apart.
Encourage workers to report any safety and health concerns.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has updated its guidance on COVID-19 and the Americans with Disabilities Act, clarifying how to accommodate individuals who are at high risk for severe illness from the coronavirus.
The Department of Labor has made safety recommendations for taxi, and rideshare services. They include:
Allow drivers to wear masks over their nose and mouth.
Providing alcohol-based hand rubs containing at least 60% alcohol.
Limiting the number of passengers transported at a single time and installing plexiglass partitions where possible.
Routinely cleaning and disinfecting vehicle door handles and inside surfaces with EPA-approved cleaning chemicals.
Lowering vehicle windows to increase airflow.
Encouraging drivers to report any safety and health concerns.
