What if child custody didn’t feel like a war?

This week, I had the privilege of presenting Virtual Gabby and the Better Parenting Plan at Stanford’s Future of Law event—and the response was incredible. The energy in the room confirmed what I’ve believed for years: we can transform conflict into resolution, and technology has a powerful role to play.

In my recent TEDx talk, I asked the audience to imagine a world where separating parents don’t feel lost in a sea of legal forms, fear, and frustration. Where the question isn't “Will I lose my voice in my child’s life?” but rather, “How can we move forward—together—for the sake of our kids?”

This is where Virtual Gabby steps in.

We’re building an AI-powered virtual mediator designed to help parents create clear, fair parenting agreements—quickly, affordably, and with dignity. It’s not about replacing lawyers or mediators. It’s about making solutions available to the millions of families who might otherwise be left behind.

Because justice shouldn’t depend on your ZIP code or your bank account. And peace of mind shouldn’t be a luxury.

This is just the beginning—and I couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead.

💻👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 If you care about family justice, tech for good, or creating a healthier future for children, I’d love to connect.

🌟 5 Tips for Divorcing Well and Moving Forward with Confidence 🌟

Divorce doesn’t have to be a battle—it can be a thoughtful process that sets the stage for a healthier, happier future. Here are five ways to approach divorce with grace, clarity, and purpose:

1️⃣ Focus on the Big Picture
Ask yourself: What do I truly want for my life after divorce? Center your decisions around your long-term emotional and financial wellness, not short-term frustrations or revenge.

2️⃣ Communicate with Intention
Whether it’s with your ex, your children, or professionals, clear and respectful communication is key. Aim to reduce conflict by listening actively and choosing words that promote understanding.

3️⃣ Build a Support Team
Surround yourself with professionals and friends who truly support your goals. A mediator, financial advisor, or therapist can help guide you through the process with less stress and more clarity.

4️⃣ Put Your Children First
If you have kids, remember they’re watching how you handle this transition. Prioritize their emotional well-being and work toward a co-parenting arrangement that allows them to thrive.

5️⃣ Give Yourself Grace
Divorce is a major life change. It’s okay to feel a range of emotions, and it’s okay to take time to heal. Be patient with yourself as you adjust to your new normal. You and your family may be Better Apart.

💬 What’s helped you or someone you know navigate divorce more peacefully? Share your thoughts below—we’re stronger when we support each other.

I am deeply humbled and grateful for the incredible reception of my book The Secret to Getting Along in China! Hearing that it’s resonating with both the professional community and general readers is beyond my wildest dreams.

A special thanks to Leng Ai, VP of the Guangdong Association of Psychologists, for introducing the book as “the principle of solving intimacy challenges” to Chinese readers. Your thoughtful words mean so much, and I’m thrilled that the message is making a positive impact.

Thank you to Cheers Publishing for bringing this book to life in Chinese and for all the readers who’ve embraced it with open hearts.

Here’s to building better connections and creating harmony in our relationships—across all languages and cultures. 💖
