Here’s a question that came up: Can an independent executrix of an estate donate a motor vehicle to herself as an individual? Or would this be a conflict of interest and need a court order or judgment of possession? This is more of an OMV notary question.

Interesting. I've heard of quite a number of Louisiana notaries doing this.

Currently, only Florida, South Carolina, Maine and Nevada authorize Notaries to perform weddings as part of their official duties. However, entrepreneurial Notaries in other states are finding innovative ways to add “wedding officiant” to their growing list of client services.

This is a work in progress! My intent is to try to figure out how to let commissioned Louisiana Notaries post and respond to posts on issues relevant to being a notary public in Louisiana.
