Blaise was killed while riding his bike by 21-year-old ALLEN BAUTISTA MILLA on the evening of December 10, 2025 in Nashville, Tennessee. On the night of the crash, Milla was being pursued by police for driving erratically. Milla struck Blaise at approximately 80 MILES PER HOUR, then abandoned his disabled blue Honda Civic and fled on foot, leaving Blaise in the roadway to die.

Bike Law's founding attorney Peter Wilborn and National Director Rachael Maney have personally pledged $25k as an award to tracking down this hit and run driver so that he can be held accountable and not upend another family. πŸ™

Yikes, this rider was hit from behind at 83 mph by a Baton Rouge police officer. The cyclist was ultimately deemed to be at fault! The officer has been on social media making fun of this incident. Way more to this story than just the headline. Our work is not done... 😏

A cyclist in Louisiana says he is lucky to be alive after surviving a crash involving a police vehicle.

πŸ“’ Rouge Roubaix 2025 – Mission Accomplished! πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ Bike Law Louisiana was on the ground today, providing neutral race support for the legendary RR! From fixing flats to shuttling H2O, we were honored to do our part to help these racers face the brutal gravel.

After watching my daughter Colette run up to a stopped racer with a first aid kit and ask if he was injured, he just responded that it was only his feelings that were hurt. She gave him some words of encouragement and sent him on his way. 😊 We’re here to help. Congrats to all who conquered the course – you crushed it! πŸ’ͺ See you next year!

Earlier today, the driver of a truck got off with just three years of probation after pleading guilty to killing cyclist Pedro Manzuela-Villa in Marrero, Louisiana. Despite clear evidence that the driver was on a phone call and recklessly tried to pass in a no-passing zone, he avoided any jail time. It's frustrating and frankly maddening that this tragedy ended with barely more than a traffic ticket. This guy still has his license and is driving around, so... lookout.

Update: With your help, we tracked down and identified the hit and run driver on Jefferson Avenue. We gave this info to NOPD, who investigated the case and charged the driver with a hit and run offense. The charge was assigned to Municipal/Traffic Court to be prosecuted by a city attorney. This week, the prosecutor at Municipal/Traffic Court dismissed the charges against the driver. The charges were dismissed without any input from the victim or even a courtesy call. The charges were allegedly dropped because the driver had a valid (albeit tiny) auto insurance policy that applied. In my opinion and in the law, there is no connection to having insurance (which anyone driving legally needs to have) with not allowing a hit and run charge (which anyone driving legally can't do) to proceed.

If we allow low standards, we should expect poor results.

The family is now pleading to the District Attorney to accept the case (state level versus city level). We'll keep you posted and thanks for the support and we push onwards...

Once again, we could use your help to find a hit and run driver. Mid-size silver sedan heading through Uptown New Orleans at 7:20 a.m. on Monday. Likely has some front end damage. Thanks for any help you can offer! Let's try and find this person before they hit someone else and flee that scene too!

A beloved member of the New Orleans dog community and an employee at a local popular veterinarian office was struck by a car on Monday morning.
