GirlUpNOLA

GirlUpNOLA Led by New Orleans First Lady Cheryl Landrieu, Girl Up NOLA promotes the importance of all girls and young women to the City of New Orleans.

Inspired by her experiences as a wife, mother, lawyer and First Lady of the City of New Orleans, Cheryl Landrieu envisioned an initiative that could unite the girls of New Orleans, connect them with unique opportunities and resources, and call attention to the importance of girls to the future of our city. On May 16th, 2012, Girl Up NOLA was launched. The initiative empowers girls to play an activ

e role in their own personal development and assist girls in navigating the pathways to a successful future. Through a robust network of women, service providers and partners, Girl Up NOLA serves as a platform for girls from across New Orleans to connect with one another, to build relationships with positive female role models and to gain access to opportunities and resources needed for their growth and development.
