Yesterday, Gov. Bentley signed the expungement bill into law. It will go into effect on July 7, 2014. An individual may seek an expungement if they were originally charged and then the charges were outright dismissed, dismissed after completion of a diversion program, no billed, or if the person was found not guilty. An expungement will clear an individual's record from showing any arrest or charge. Please contact our office if you have any questions about expungements!
