The other parent cannot be held in contempt for NOT exercising his or her visitations, but parents WILL be held in contempt for refusing to parent to see his or her child.

Visitation orders allow some flexibility for the parties to modify the times or switch weeks without a new court order. But get it in writing or keep your email or text messages recorded! Always get written evidence and keep good records and photos of visitations.

If you and your former spouse come to an agreement to lower or even forgive your child support obligation, call us. An agreement between you and your spouse to lower support or forgive support is useless. You MUST have a order signed by the Judge or you can be hit for arrearages in full.
