More great news! As of January 1, 2025, beneficiaries with Medicare Part D plans through traditional Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans with prescription coverage will be eligible to opt into the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan. Enrollment is voluntary and allows beneficiaries to spread out yearly out-of-pocket prescription costs in order to pay for them monthly. Don't forget: beneficiaries must opt-in to take advantage of the program. Click here for more information:

The Center for Medicare Advocacy has released a new consumer guide to Medicare Prior Authorization, the process you have to go through to have a medical procedure pre-approved by Medicare. If you are a Medicare or Medicare Advantage beneficiary, this information is incredibly important because "prior authorization denials can prohibit medically reasonable and necessary care, and the prior authorization process itself can create interruptions and barriers to care."
