💙 Please help us welcome Denise Miller to the Building Our Families team!

Denise started with Building Our Families as a volunteer within the last month, and it did not take long for us to see what a gift she is. She showed up ready to help wherever she was needed, from fundraising and office work to supporting daily program needs. In a short time, Denise has made herself a valuable part of Building Our Families, and we are excited to now have her officially on staff.

Denise will be helping with a little bit of everything, including case management, marketing, fundraising, administrative support, and day-to-day program needs.

She brings years of experience working with children and families. Denise has a diploma in Early Childhood Development and has worked in schools as a paraprofessional, where she supported children in learning, growing, and feeling cared for.

Denise also has personal experience as a foster care parent, giving her a strong understanding of the needs of children and families during difficult times. Growing up in an Air Force family, Denise moved all over the world, which helped shape her ability to connect with people from many different backgrounds.

Denise is married and has three children. She brings kindness, patience, and real-life experience to Building Our Families, and we are grateful to have her helping us serve our community.

Today we want to recognize someone who has been there time and time again behind the scenes—Cindy Loeschke.

Every time we have an event, fundraiser, or need an extra set of hands, Cindy is just a phone call away. She shows up without hesitation and does whatever needs to be done. While many people see the finished event, they don't always see the countless hours of preparation, problem-solving, and hard work that happen in the background. Cindy has been a huge part of making so many of those moments possible.

Terri is especially grateful for the many times Cindy has stepped in to help pull everything together. Having friends and community members who truly have your back is a gift, and Cindy has been that gift to Building Our Families for years.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Cindy, for all of the hours, dedication, and love you have poured into our mission. We could never thank you enough for all you do. ❤️

**Full Plates, Bright Days** focuses on reducing food insecurity and helping children feel confident, cared for, and ready to learn at both school and home. Support may include assistance with school lunch balances, groceries, meal-related needs, or other basic necessities that help families keep food on the table.
