That's how much of 2026 is left, and it's how long you have to change what you'll owe for it.

On January 1 the year closes. After that, your tax return can only report what already happened. It can't go back and change it.

Most business owners find out their number in April. By then the decisions that could have moved it are months behind them.

Not every situation has something to change. But you won't know which kind you have until someone looks.

You work too hard to hand the IRS more than you have to! 💼

Every year, a lot of business owners pay whatever the return says and move on. But the return only adds up what already happened. Nobody stopped during the year to ask whether it had to be that number.

Paying your share is part of running a business. Paying more than your share because nobody planned isn't.

Planning means looking at your year before it closes and keeping as much as the law allows, for you and your family. Sometimes that's a lot, and sometimes it isn't much. Either way, you'll know.

Your 2026 tax return hasn't been written yet. 📅

By the time it is, the year will be over, and the return will only report what already happened. Every decision that could move the number gets made before December 31, not in April.

That leaves about three months.

Most people find out what they owe after the year is closed. The ones who plan find out while there is still time to do something about it.
