Lidiar con algunas asociaciones y management companies, es desgraciadamente, una de las partes más difíciles de nuestro trabajo como Realtors.

Y quiero aclararlo desde el principio: no estoy generalizando. Hay compañías que trabajan extraordinariamente bien y con las que realmente da gusto trabajar. Pero, lamentablemente, en mi experiencia son la minoría.

El problema es que muchas parecen olvidar que su función principal es prestar un servicio a la comunidad que las contrató y que les paga.

Cuando nosotros llamamos, escribimos o insistimos, no es nada personal. Estamos representando a clientes que tienen contratos, fechas y compromisos. Muchas veces tienen que entregar una propiedad un día y entrar en la próxima inmediatamente.

Y algo que me preocupa mucho es que, en ocasiones, cuando insistes demasiado para obtener una respuesta, pareciera que algunos empleados se molestan y el proceso termina demorándose incluso más de lo necesario.

Eso sucede. Es real. Y no me da ninguna alegría decirlo.

Porque al final no están perjudicando solamente al Realtor. Están perjudicando a la propia comunidad que los contrató.

Cuando alguien comienza su relación con una comunidad después de un proceso innecesariamente lento, complicado o desagradable, ya entra predispuesto y molesto. Y eso no ayuda a la colaboración ni a una buena convivencia.

También está el board, compuesto por personas de la propia comunidad y que también tiene responsabilidades. Sin embargo, en mi experiencia, los problemas con los boards son mucho menos frecuentes y normalmente encuentro bastante colaboración.

Repito: hay compañías de management excelentes, profesionales, eficientes y con empleados maravillosos. Trabajar con ellas es un verdadero placer.

Pero desgraciadamente todavía queda muchísimo por mejorar.

Y una última aclaración: el pullover que tengo puesto hoy no significa que venga específicamente de hacer esta gestión. Aunque viendo el video… probablemente lo parezca. 😅
