Monice Hagler was the first Black president of the Memphis Bar Foundation. She led the philanthropic arm of the MBA in 2011 and 2012. Hagler worked in the Shelby County Public Defender’s Office and served as City Attorney. In 2016, she launched her own firm, The Hagler Law Group, PLLC, where she focuses on real estate-related economic development and small and minority-owned business development.
