We joined Bass Berry & Sims PLC and AutoZone for the 13th annual “Give a Little, Help a Lot” pro bono clinic. The clinic was held at Orange Mound Senior Center on Tuesday, July 18.

Thank you everyone who supported and contributed your services to help the senior citizens in need!

Mary was a former MALS Board Chair and a tireless advocate on behalf of those in need in our community. This annual event honors and is in memory of Mary’s many contributions.

Restoration of Rights clinic happening today from 10 AM - 2 PM! Join us and see more information below 👇🏼

As the demand for knowledge and access to resources regarding the restoration of rights process grows, it has become crucial to educate and inform community members. We are seeking volunteers who are passionate about this cause, as legal expertise is not a requirement.

To address this pressing need, the Memphis Bar Association's Access to Justice Committee and Young Lawyers' Division, in partnership with Memphis Area Legal Services, have collaborated with Memphis City Council Member Michalyn Easter-Thomas (District 7) and Shelby County Commissioner Charlie Caswell, Jr. (District 6). Together, we are organizing a Restoration of Rights Community Clinic on July 1, 2023, from 10 am to 2 pm.

Join us at the Legacy Impact Center, located at 2285 Frayser Boulevard, Memphis, TN 38127, as we come together to provide vital assistance and support to individuals seeking to reclaim their rights.

Who is eligible for free legal services?

For most help, individuals must be a U. S. Citizen or legal resident, have low-income and limited assets and be seeking help with a civil legal issue of the type we handle. While most services are available only to low-income individuals and families, special funding enables us to provide assistance to the elderly, those with foreclosure prevention, mortgage default and other housing matters, and tax issues even if you are not low-income.
