Why is help postpartum so important?

We see moms so very exhausted during the first year after giving birth, and many are not able to get all the nourishment, rest and recovery they need.

Postpartum doulas are not extra or just an added perk for people with money to spend.

They are literally improving the lives of mothers and families through protecting their vulnerable recovery time.

Is it the finances?

Is it the open vulnerability of letting someone in your home?

Is it the guilt of feeling like you don't deserve or need the help?

Is it pride in thinking you have to bear all of your own burdens?

The truth is motherhood is not meant to be done in isolation

It is a time of rebuilding, of changing, of adjusting and that can be uncomfortable

Christ would say to cast burdens at His feet and not carry them

Christ also says to bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ

Both require surrender of pride

I realized I needed help

I realized I could try and do it all on my own, but really I couldn't, and it didn't make me the best version of myself for me or my family when I did

Letting someone trustworthy in to help bear those burdens is so worth it

Women need other women in their life to help support and hold space for them

Maybe we can be that for you?

This class is great for anyone looking to dive into the amazing montessori method for childhood development.

Taught by one of our postpartum doulas who has over 16 years experience working with children and families in a variety of roles, including nanny, Montessori teacher, school director, parent educator, and teacher coach.

Her passion for supporting young children led her to earn my Infant and Toddler Teaching credentials through the American Montessori Society and developing the infant and toddler programs at a local Montessori school.
