Was Patrick Clancy the Commonwealth's biggest miscalculation?

Attorney Randolph Rice joins CourtTV to discuss:

➔ He was the prosecution's #1 witness, but he never agreed his ex-wife should be charged.
➔ Rice, a former prosecutor himself, says that should've been a red flag.
➔ "He's the real surviving victim,” and the Commonwealth didn't take his cues.

🤝 Rice Law is growing, and we could not be more excited to introduce three incredible new members of our team!

Britney Santos | Paralegal
Britney brings five years of law firm experience from New York and Baltimore, is bilingual in English and Spanish, and came to Rice Law because she wanted to help non-English speakers navigate a process that can feel overwhelming and confusing. Her approach says it all: "This is our job, but for most people this is their first accident. Which can sometimes be a life-changing one." Just for fun, she has a gecko named Spike and is double jointed. 🦎

Cameron Ferguson | Paralegal
Cameron (Cami) found Rice Law on LinkedIn all the way from Texas, had no idea what she was walking into, and after one interview with Randolph she was sold. She studied Legal Studies at Stephen F. Austin State University and enjoys bringing a warm, personal touch to every client interaction. Outside the office she is scrapbooking, baking, and making balloon animals. She also has three dogs: Fenway, Bo, and Ace. 🐾

Sam May | Receptionist
Sam is a Baltimore native with 10+ years in hospitality and restaurant management, and she is bringing every bit of that energy to Rice Law. Her job is simple: make sure the team has everything they need and every caller feels heard, helped, and pointed in the right direction. Outside of work she studies herbalism, loves to cook and bake, and has two Pomeranians named Lily and Bernard and three cats. She is also engaged. (Congratulations Sam and Charlie! 💍)

Three different backgrounds. Three different stories. One team.

Welcome to Rice Law, Britney, Cami, and Sam.
Maryland families are in great hands.

He was just trying to get to class.

College kid. Long commute. Heading down the interstate like any other day.

An 18-wheeler driver hadn't taken his required breaks. He fell asleep at the wheel and slammed into the college student's car.

Weeks in the hospital. Months of physical therapy. Surgery.

Things got complicated. He didn’t know if he needed a personal injury lawyer, so he called Rice Law.

We shared something nobody had told him: There were three separate insurance policies that could cover him. He had no idea.

We got our accident reconstructionist involved, pulled the black box data, and fought to make sure he got every dollar he was owed. Not just one insurance company, all three.

This semester he's back on his feet. Back in college. About to graduate.

That's the result when you have someone in your corner who knows how to advocate for you.

If you've been hit by a negligent truck driver in Maryland, call us. The coverage you need may already exist, you just need a lawyer who knows how to find it.

Free consultation, no fees unless we win.

Do not accept money from an insurance adjuster without talking to a lawyer first. That conversation is free.
