Most CPG brands are sitting on years of email subscribers, and a big chunk of that list has gone completely dormant. Evan Corliss explains why most brands end up only emailing their recently engaged subscribers (last 30 days of opens and clicks) and leave everyone else untouched, even though a smaller reactivation push could bring some of them back.

October is a smart window to try this before the holiday rush. A simple “it’s been a while, come see what’s new” message, paired with a bounce back or win back offer, can be enough to spark a response. New flavors, new products, new sizes, anything genuinely new gives dormant subscribers a real reason to look again.
