Las Vegas Hit-and-Run Leaves Pedestrian With Life-Threatening Injuries

A Las Vegas pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle near Nellis Boulevard and East Twain Avenue.

According to police, the pedestrian was crossing Nellis Boulevard in or near a marked crosswalk when an unknown gray sedan struck her and fled the scene. The driver and vehicle remain under investigation.

Hit-and-run crashes can create serious challenges for injury victims. Identifying the driver is important, but it is not necessarily the end of the road if the driver cannot immediately be located.
