Reminder to all LCAR members:

The NMAR Membership meeting is scheduled for Thursday, 8/20 at 1pm, San Rafael room, at the El Encanto Hotel during the NMAR Fall Conference.

NMAR is aware of a recent postcard mailed to members of the NMAR Board of Directors.

We want to be clear: NMAR strongly condemns this communication and the behavior it represents.

This conduct is inconsistent with the REALTOR® Code of Ethics and the standards of professionalism, integrity, and respect expected of REALTORS®, especially those serving in leadership.

An investigation is underway. While identifying the sender may not be possible, we are investigating it and will collect all the information we are able to. We are extremely disappointed that anyone within our REALTOR® community would choose to communicate in this manner.

Disagreement is part of any organization, but it never excuses disrespectful or unethical conduct. Those entrusted with leadership have an even greater responsibility to model the standards we expect from our members.

There is no place within NMAR for behavior that undermines these principles. We will continue to take this matter seriously and stand firmly behind the values that define our association and the REALTOR® community.

We ask all members, especially those in leadership, to remember the responsibility that comes with being a REALTOR®.
