She will be an incoming senior at St. Mary's University where she will major in Exercise and Sports Science. Alegria plans to go to Occupational Therapy School after graduation. She is excited and grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Also affectionately known as St. Paddy’s Day or St. Patty’s Day, it’s the one day each year that everyone and anyone can call themselves Irish – if not by birthright, then in spirit. If you have been living under the Blarney Stone, lucky you! We bet you can share a thing or two about how a religious feast day commemorating the famed Irish patron saint who brought Christianity to Ireland ended up being a day celebrated almost globally, usually involving copious amounts of green beer and whisky shooters.

World Kidney Day was established in 2006 to raise awareness about the importance of kidneys. The International Society of Nephrology (ISN) and the International Federation of Kidney Foundations (IFKF) collaborated to create the day, which serves as a global campaign to raise awareness about the importance of kidney health. The day also highlights the prevalence of kidney diseases and the importance of maintaining optimal kidney health.

I usually run a turkey trot on thanksgiving day, but, unfortunately (and for good reason), they were cancelled this year. So, I decided to do my own turkey trot and make a donation to the South Texas Food Bank, which is in extreme need especially during these times. Be thankful & help others as you can. This November marks 25 years of practicing law. While this career has been challenging, it has also been rewarding in many ways, chief among them the friendships I am very fortunate to have formed. I have also been blessed to practice in different areas in Texas due to a great team at a law firm I established 7 years ago. Moving forward, I expect to be continually challenged, but with the support of my friends, family, colleagues and clients, I feel confident to be able to meet the challenges ahead. Cheers to all of my very good friends from law school that celebrate 25 years of practicing law.
