After graduating with honors from Tulane University Law School in 1992, Christian Lewis served his community as an assistant city attorney. He has for over 20 years represented hundreds of clients for injuries arising from automobile accidents, work and worker’s compensation accidents, industrial accidents, medical malpractice, abortionist malpractice and offshore/maritime/
Jones Act Seamen accidents. Lewis have included serving as lead counsel in $5.2 million dollar settlement in a toxic exposure industrial accident in Eubanks v. Petron, LLC and $3.9 million in Latiolais v. He also secured one of the largest punitive damage jury verdicts at the time in Louisiana in an employment discrimination case. In May of 2016, Mr. Lewis served as lead counsel in a five day jury trial against UPS and Liberty Mutual for serious injuries caused to a roadside mechanic when a UPS driver recklessly left the road and went onto the shoulder and struck a disabled vehicle under which the client was performing repairs. The Lafayette, Louisiana, jury returned a verdict, with judicial interest, that totaled $1.8 million. In 2020, he obtained a $2.3 million dollar judgment after a jury trial against a negligent trucking company whose driver's recklessness caused neck and low back injuries to Mr. Lewis's client in an interstate collision. Lewis is licensed in Louisiana and Virginia. He has been admitted to the United States Supreme Court, United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, Western and Eastern District Courts of Louisiana, and all Louisiana state courts. He is a member of the Louisiana Association for Justice and is an allied attorney with the Alliance Defending Freedom, a faith based religious freedom and constitutional law organization. In the community, he is a member of Christ Church where he admits to being a work in progress and grace. Past community involvement has also included serving two seasons as Westminster Christian Academy’s 5th and 6th grade football coach and volunteering with Volunteers In Teaching Adults literacy program and being honored as a past Volunteer of the Year. Lewis was born in Richmond, Virginia, and grew up in and has lived most of his life in Louisiana. He graduated from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and returned to Louisiana upon graduating. He is married to Paulette Perron Lewis of Lafayette. They are blessed with four children.
