We had a great little Fingerprinting Meetup today! 🖐️

A few of us got together to practice proper ink fingerprinting techniques, work with FD-258 fingerprint cards, and get some hands-on experience rolling prints.

One of the reasons I wanted to do this was to build a network of people I can confidently refer customers to when I’m unavailable or when someone needs fingerprinting outside my immediate area.

🎀 **September 25 is officially Dolly Parton Day in Sevier County!** 🎀

Beginning September 25, 2026, Sevier County, Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Pittman Center will come together each year to celebrate one of East Tennessee’s most beloved and influential daughters — **Dolly Parton**. 💗

A special proclamation signing ceremony will be held at **9:00 AM on Friday, September 25**, on the steps of the historic **Sevier County Courthouse in Sevierville**.

Dolly’s story is deeply rooted in the Great Smoky Mountains. From her incredible career in music and entertainment to Dollywood, the Imagination Library, the My People Fund, and countless acts of generosity, she has never forgotten where she came from.

And that may be one of the best things about Dolly - no matter how far she went, she always carried East Tennessee with her. 🏔️💕

So on September 25, celebrate Dolly Parton Day by doing what she has encouraged generations of people to do:

All of my signings today were online except for one small in-person package.

It should’ve been the quickest signing of the day.

Then I met Odie. 😂🐾

I blame him entirely for the appointment running over. He kept planting himself right on top of the documents, then staring at me like, “Go ahead. Move me. I dare you.”

I did not accept the challenge. 😂

I love the convenience of online closings, but Odie definitely made this my favorite signing of the day. ❤️🐱

⚠️ PLEASE CHOOSE YOUR WEDDING OFFICIANT CAREFULLY! ⚠️

I’m getting more and more last-minute calls from couples who are panicking because their officiant didn’t show up.

It happened again this morning.

A couple had planned for their marriage paperwork to reflect 9/11/2026, but their officiant was a no-show last night. They called me this morning, and thankfully I was available to meet with them.

But because their marriage wasn’t completed until today, their paperwork now reflects 9/12/2026 — and that is how it will be recorded.

On top of that, they had to leave their cabin in Pigeon Forge and drive to Knoxville to meet with me.

A week or two ago, I had two calls like this in less than two hours.

And there has been one thing in common every single time.

When I ask, “Where did you find your officiant?”

The answer has been:

Facebook.

Usually, it was someone recommended in a local Facebook group.

Facebook groups can be great for recommendations, but your wedding is not the day to gamble on someone simply because a stranger tagged them in a comment.

Please do your homework. Check reviews. Look at their business presence. Make sure they regularly perform weddings and have a reputation for actually showing up.

I do take last-minute wedding calls when I’m available, but I ONLY offer quick Sign & Go officiating services.
