Meet the woman behind Goodwin Legal, PLLC — and the two fluffy co-counsels who run the show. 🐾✨
I'm a born-and-raised DFW girl who went all the way to Fayetteville for undergrad (Woo Pig 🐗), came back home for law school at Texas A&M School of Law, and never left. I opened Goodwin Legal because I saw a gap in the legal world — not enough progressive, client-centered, LGBTQ+ inclusive attorneys who actually fight for the people who need them most.
I started my career with a focus on criminal defense, but everything shifted when I had the chance to represent women navigating divorce. Watching clients walk away with their freedom, their peace, their fresh start — that's what does it for me. That's why I'm here.
When I'm not in attorney mode, you'll find me hiking trails, hunting for vintage treasures at antique shops, hosting tea parties (yes, really 🫖), obsessing over my two fluffy corgis Benjamin Rocket and Willow Jean, or getting lost at a concert. I'm the oldest of five sisters and a brand new auntie to identical twin nieces 🎀
I also want to be upfront about something: when I was building this firm, people had opinions about the pink. About whether it was "too much" or whether it would make me look less serious. But here's the thing — the legal world has historically told women, and especially q***r women, to shrink themselves to be taken seriously. To dress it down, tone it down, blend in. I'm not interested in that. I built Goodwin Legal to be a place where clients feel seen and represented by someone who actually reflects the diversity of the people who need legal help — and the pink is part of that. It's a deliberate choice, not a decoration.
