I wish I were sharing this as just another reminder about getting your affairs in order. Unfortunately, this one comes from a very personal place. 💔
This week, I lost one of my best friends. Suddenly. Tragically. Without warning.
And while I’m still trying to wrap my head around a world without her in it, I’ve been reminded just how quickly life can change. One phone call. One moment. And suddenly, the things you thought you had plenty of time for become things you wish you’d taken care of yesterday.
I’ve spent the last few years helping people through TeleNotary, making important paperwork easier to execute. But this week, the importance of that work hit differently.
When someone you love dies, the grief is already unbearable. The last thing a family needs is to be scrambling for documents, trying to figure out someone’s wishes, or making difficult decisions without knowing what their loved one wanted.
I wouldn’t wish this heartbreak on anyone. And if there’s something I can do to help another family avoid even a fraction of the confusion and stress that can come with an unexpected loss, I want to do it.
Please, have the uncomfortable conversations. Get your affairs in order. Make sure the people you love know your wishes. Take care of the paperwork you’ve been putting off.
Not because you’re expecting the worst, but because loving someone also means thinking about what they’ll face when you’re no longer there to help them.
TeleNotary is here to help make the notarization process one less thing to worry about. Whether it’s a power of attorney, healthcare directive, or other qualifying documents, getting things properly executed now can make a meaningful difference later.
And please understand, this isn’t a sales pitch. It’s a grieving best friend reminding you that tomorrow isn’t promised. She would absolutely endorse this message. Hands down.
You can’t spare the people you love from missing you. But you can spare them from some of the uncertainty.
In loving memory of Misty. You left us far too soon. 💗
