It was a good week last week at the Cole County Courthouse.
Two clients came to me facing tickets for driving 90 mph in a 65 mph zone. Both cases we were able to get amended to 1–5 mph over the speed limit, no points, with a $300 fine plus court costs. Even better, neither client had to miss work to appear in court.
Another big win this week: juvenile court jurisdiction was terminated for a client. For the Mama of the juvenile, this was a very big win.
Every case and every client is different, but helping people navigate the legal system and working toward a better outcome is what I’m here to do.
A few good results. A few relieved clients. And a pretty good week at the courthouse.
