Big news for U.S. business owners: FinCEN has permanently eliminated beneficial ownership information (BOI) reporting requirements under the Corporate Transparency Act, effective August 14, 2026. U.S. companies and U.S. persons are no longer required to file or update BOI reports with FinCEN, and previously submitted information will be deleted from the database.

That said, certain foreign entities may still have reporting obligations, and the end of federal BOI reporting doesn't eliminate other compliance requirements under Florida law. If you have questions about how this change affects your business, our team is here to help.
