I don’t think most folks will mind me “changing the subject” away from the pandemic or politics for a moment, so please indulge me for a minute or two. Here’s a feel good story that happens in our community every year. Christmas is nearing and one of my favorite causes to give to is our local Fraternal Order of Police (Jackson #7) “Shop with a Cop” Christmas fund drive which pairs a Police Officer with a young person who’s family has serious financial difficulties and can’t afford Christmas,...for which the “Cop” takes the child Christmas shopping. The always grateful & excited child picks out gifts for themself of course, but they often choose gifts for their siblings and others. It likewise displays that our Police truly do care and it also makes our youth feel comfortable with our fine law enforcement officers. Moreover, “Shop with a Cop” provides an overall testament in the joy of “GIVING”. Serving Jackson and West TN for those injured by an unpredictable Car Wreck. And, trust me, my clients are from all political parties and opinions, all races, all ages and all genders. A wreck doesn’t zero in on any specific “demographic”.

It’s certainly not my desire for anyone to go through this and to endure the physical pain as well as the disruption to their lives,...and even the the hardships & inconveniences of necessary medical treatment. Some clients come to me with the death of a loved one, which is always tragic;...and many come to me with broken bones & surgeries. To those that have fortunately LIVED through a wreck and who are understandably SO FRUSTRATED by what’s happened to them, I always say the following:

“I know, I know...you’re right, this is going to be a big HASSLE to your life...but we’ll get through it together while I first help you with your property damage and then ultimately I will get you FAIR COMPENSATION for your injuries.
