According to the American Cancer Society, “about 2 out of 3 Americans are overweight or obese. Many Americans are also less physically active than they should be. Obesity increases the risk of many TYPES OF CANCER. It also increases the risk of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and other health outcomes

, such as dying at an early age. While it is not clear exactly how excess body fat, consuming too many calories, and lack of physical activity raise cancer risk , there is no question that they are linked to an increased risk of many types of cancer and that they are a serious and growing health problem. Researchers estimated that 562,000 children are living with a parent who is in the early or late STAGES OF CANCER treatment. New research shows that 18% of newly diagnosed CANCER patients are parents to minor children. Our mission is to provide support to mothers who are battling life-threatening cancer who also raise minor children. Mommy and Me Cancer Foundation is a public non-profit organization headquartered in Brea, Ca. We are happy to announce that on November 22, 2013, the United States Internal Revenue Service approved Mommy and Me Cancer Foundation, Inc. as a 501(c)(3) recognized charitable non-profit organization. This process was tedious, but possible because of our talented team of attorneys, executive staff and dedicated volunteers. This will allow us to APPLY FOR GRANTSfrom public and private institutions, as well as make all your contributions to the organization tax deductible, retroactive to March 7, 2013. We look forward to CONTINUING the work we have done so far as well as exploring new opportunities ahead. All IRS applications filed through Rutan & Tucker, LLP. View application letter here. Your generosity and support will help these mothers by assisting their costly CANCER TREATMENT, providing moral support, and making wishes come true.
