CJA Members,

We will be having our weekly meeting this Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 6-7pm at SSL 171!

Last Wednesday’s event was an incredible success! We’re glad so many people came in and participated in the event and we’d like to thank each and every person that came and those that wanted to come.

Dean Jenness spoke about her research work, her hands on experience, and her view on professors. She was a wonderful, engaging speaker; we’re sure our members fell in love with her!

For next week we will be having another debate, similar to that of week 2. We will talk about homelessness and the law. Hope you can all come in and participate in this event, and hopefully come out with a greater knowledge.

Dear CJA Members,

Welcome to week three! We hope you’re all doing spectacular so far! This is a reminder that we will be having our next meeting this Wednesday, January 22, at SSL 171 from 6-7pm. This week we will be talking about volunteering to write letters, notes, and thoughts to soldiers over seas.We will also be creating posters for the organization.
Last week, we had a debate over the Couch trial, and the “affluenza” problem that is hitting wealthy teenagers. The debate went rather well and we were able to give bring this discussion to a great conclusion that in fact “affluenza” was not a justification for manslaughter. We thank you for all making this debate a success!
Hope you can all come in tomorrow and enjoy yourselves.

Drunk driving teen could still end up in jail, says Tarrant County DA - 2013-Dec-18

Our second meeting of the quarter is tomorrow, Wednesday , January 15, from 6-7pm at SSL 171. We'll be holding a debate on the Couch case- a Texan brat who murdered 4 people while driving drunk, and got a way with a 10 year probation.

GET EXCITED! Doctoral Candidate Rebecca M. Nichols is going to join us in the meeting tomorrow! She taught Eyewitness Testimony last quarter and it was a great class! Since we discuss about issues in Death Penalty during our last meeting, this will be a great follow up! We will discuss the issues about eyewitnesses, criminal justice system, and MORE! We will have a Q&A session so don't hesitate,come with your desire questions! =)
