If you drive alongside semis every day, this survey result is worth knowing.

In this video, Board-Certified Truck Accident Attorney David Craig shares results from a new survey of 109 professional truck drivers about pressure to drive while fatigued.

Ninety-seven percent of drivers surveyed said they had felt pressured by their motor carrier to drive tired. Half said it happens at least once a month.

➡️ Federal regulations prohibit operating a commercial motor vehicle when a driver's alertness is so impaired by fatigue that it's unsafe to continue.

Understanding how hours of service rules and fatigue regulations work is an important part of understanding commercial trucking safety.

💬 Did you know federal rules specifically address fatigued driving for commercial truck drivers?

When choosing a law firm after a serious truck crash, it’s important to look beyond the attorney whose name is on the case.

In the latest episode of “After the Crash: Ask David,” Board-Certified Truck Accident Attorney David W. Craig explains why ongoing education should extend to the entire legal team—and what a firm’s investment in its attorneys, paralegals, and staff can tell you about how it approaches complex truck accident cases.

David and co-host Ashley Napier discuss the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys (ATAA), board certification, the specialized knowledge involved in trucking litigation, and why Craig, Kelley & Faultless continues to invest in opportunities for our team to learn alongside leading truck accident attorneys from across the country.

When catastrophe happens, victims are often left with questions. After her son Isaiah was killed in a truck wreck, Celeste Bowens-Martin came to Craig, Kelley & Faultless seeking answers for what caused her son’s crash. Investigation done by the firm found that if the truck that hit Isaiah had been fitted with collision mitigation systems, like automatic emergency braking, his vehicle may not have been hit. Now, Celeste shares Isaiah’s story to bring awareness to the lack of this safety technology in commercial motor vehicles.

Although many passenger vehicles are equipped with accident prevention systems and all new cars will be required in September 2029 to have automatic emergency braking (AEB) installed. This technology has been available for large trucks for almost 20 years, but failure to mandate their installation has resulted in thousands of preventable crashes. Unfortunately, a deadline for installing this life-saving technology for vehicles weighing above 10,000 pounds has not been set.

What happens to critical evidence after a serious truck crash?

In some cases, wrecked trucks may be sold before important evidence can be fully examined. Trucking companies have no legal requirement to hold on to trucks involved in a crash, so many have corporate policies to dispose of them quickly.

That’s why early investigation and evidence preservation matter.

In this clip from the After the Crash podcast, Missouri attorney J. Kent Emison of Langdon & Emison explains what can happen to evidence after a truck crash and why taking action early can help protect your rights.

What does semi-truck crash data look like when you can actually use it in your everyday life?

In this clip from “After the Crash,” CKF Software Engineer Nick Perin, developer of the patent-pending Semi Crash Map, shares how he uses the tool in his own daily life to check the routes he regularly drives—from his commute and trips to the gym to traveling somewhere new.

In the full podcast episode, Nick joins Board-Certified Truck Accident Attorney David W. Craig to go behind the scenes of how the Semi Crash Map was developed and what the latest crash data can tell us about where, when, and why commercial vehicle wrecks are happening.

They break down 2025 Indiana crash data, including some of the state’s busiest highways and counties, common contributing factors, dangerous days and times to be on the road, and more.
