An interesting topic to consider. I have seen this from both sides.

You've worked hard to accumulate your wealth and it is yours to pass along as you wish. Things happen and there are many legitimate reasons why one would choose to leave a family member out of their estate plan.

On the other hand, being "disenherited" or receiving a share disproportionate to one's other family members can hurt so deeply that it completely ruins someone's life and forever destroys the relationships between your surviving family members.

There is no right or wrong answer. Only you know what is right for you, based on your family history and dynamics. Just know that, when you leave someone out, you are likely passing your conflict with that person along to your other surviving family members.
