Introducing Gaston!

Gaston Azubel-Goldstein is Managing Member of AG Counsel. He studied psychology and political science at Arizona State University before studying law at South Texas College of Law, where he graduated at the top of his class.

Gaston is a strategic legal exec with over a decade of in-house experience navigating complex commercial contracts, global compliance, and legal risk in high-stakes environments. He has previously served as the Head of Legal at FlexSteel Pipeline Technologies where he was in charge of the contracts program, enterprise wide; Senior Counsel at Walker Eisenbraun; as well as prior roles at Chevron and Nabors Industries. Across all of his prior roles, Gaston has worked in all three sectors of energy law – upstream, midstream, and downstream.

AG Counsel started small in January 2026, but quickly morphed into a full-time role through organic growth. The firm specializes in fractional general counsel, outside general counsel, contract review, drafting, and negotiating

Gaston's work blends sharp legal judgment with business ex*****on, negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts; building scalable legal infrastructure; and saving millions in potential liability through well-structured indemnity, warranty, and limitation of liability clauses. He's led IPO-readiness efforts and supported private equity transactions with a steady hand and commercial mindset.

Outside of work, he's happily married with two kiddos. He's fluent in English and Spanish, a passionate Houston Astros fan, and always looking forward to his next trip to Argentina.
