rce and/or custody proceeding. Make no mistake, when a client seeks a family law attorney, he or she is in crisis. Problems and disagreements arise that cause a great deal of fear and animosity, so I usually advocate mediation to help spare clients the tension and expense of a costly bench or jury trial. But, ultimately, that will be your decision, whether to accept our mediated settlement or go forward to Final Trial. I am a sole practitioner, who utilizes her skills and experience to help guide families through the evidence and discovery selection, the negotiation process, and finally on to mediation, and an agreeable settlement. However, when litigation is the only remedy, I am confident and capable at trial. My team consists of myself, a licensed attorney, and one paralegal, who helps me provide a calm and caring environment with hands on legal services. My practice is devoted to the area of family law, so I only represent clients in divorce, child support, child custody and visitation, or in a marital property division, grandparent's rights, adoption, and/or paternity case. Because, unfortunately, especially if your lawsuit involves a divorce, it is inevitable that this will be one of the worst times in your life. Therefore, I believe in a humanitarian approach to the practice of law, which put simply means “a human touch.” Because besides your own life being in turmoil, often your children, grandchildren, and sometimes even your nieces and nephews are impacted. Thus, the way your case is handled can and will affect your young children and other relatives for the rest of their lives! I am a native Houstonian who attended the University of Houston at Clear Lake, and received a Master Degree in English and Theatre. After teaching junior high, high school and junior college for 7 years, I enrolled in law school where I obtained my Doctorate in Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in Houston.
