Do you know how your property will pass at your death? Do you assume it will all pass to your spouse? [SPOILER ALERT: it probably will NOT unless you have a well drafted and properly executed Will or trust in place]. My daughter is headed off to college. Which reminds me to remind YOU… give me a call or email to get your new adult child set up with Powers of Attorney for health care and financial matters before they head off to college in the fall. I am here to explain to your newly adult child the reasons they need these documents, and to guide them in choosing whom to name in them, to help guide them and assist with financial and health care matters as they begin to navigate adulthood.
