211 is a free, confidential helpline that connects residents with local resources and services. It's available 24/7 and can help direct you to assistance for a wide range of needs.

📊 It helps document the scale of the damage. Every call adds to the official record of how many homes and properties were affected, data that matters for the Town and county in assessing overall storm impact.

🤝 It connects you with resources. From cleanup assistance to recovery services, 211 can help point you toward support you may not know is available.

📍 It routes your report to the right place. Your call helps ensure damage reports reach the appropriate agencies so nothing falls through the cracks.

🗑️ Storm Debris Dumpsters & Trailers – What Goes Where

To help residents continue cleanup efforts, the Town has dumpsters and trailers available at the following locations:

📍 Dumpsters:

Tapper Ave, along Grove Park
Beech Ave, along Beech Park
Baring Ave and River Drive
Park Drive and Linden Ave.
Frank Hammond Park
Washington Circle and Delaware (available this afternoon)

📍 Trailers:

Grove Park — 8201 Tapper Ave, Munster, IN 46321
Near Humane Indiana Shelter and Adoption Center — on Kennedy Ct., accessed via 45th St.

Dumpsters are for household trash and bagged debris.
Trailers are for bulk yard waste and storm debris (branches, limbs, etc.). When using a trailer, please place items as far back as possible to maximize space for everyone.

⚠️ Please use caution when dropping off items at any dumpster or trailer location — watch your footing and be mindful of others on site.

🚛 Regular trash pickup is being handled by Homewood Disposal. If your area was inaccessible on your scheduled day, they will return once your street is clear and open.
