Today I am in Vogue speaking about my experiences and the fight for reproductive freedom. It was a privilege to share my experiences as both an advocate and survivor.

Kentucky tends to be written off as a lost cause by left-wing politicians and organizers, but the work of people like Michelle Lawson, Katima Smith-Willis, and Ashley Trimm paints a much more complex picture.

My office is teaming up with SecondChance Mission for this year's Operation Santa event! Details for the event are below:

During this devastating time, we are looking toward the future. Usually, our Operation Santa event opens a little later in the year but due to a hard hit to our community, it will begin immediately!

All donations of new toys, clothes, etc. will be delivered to families directly impacted by the flooding in Perry and surrounding counties.

We will not be making a list of specific people, as the need is too great. We will collect as much as possible between now and December 19th and will be making connections with families between now and then to get them what they need for Christmas.

No child should have to suffer and especially not at Christmas.

Help us show some kids and their parents the true meaning of Christmas. We need you.

The old JC Penney building is now the main donation distribution center in Hazard. East Perry and Hazard High School have consolidated to this one location in the Black Gold Shopping Center.

If you are a church or organization taking bulk items to drop off points in specific communities, please come to the side door.

At this time they are only giving items to those directly effected by flooding, but anyone can come get water.

Lastly, this is NOT exclusively for Perry County. Please feel free to come from any county. Churches and organizations in other counties are also welcome to come and take items back to their home communities.

They need lots of volunteers to make this work smoothly. Please share!
