Imagine a child having a child, and then that very child helping raise and shape the mother she was never prepared to be. That’s exactly what you did for me.

You taught me kindness, unconditional love, patience, and what it truly means to be a mother.

Sweet girl, you have made life worth living. Every sacrifice, every late night, every obstacle I overcame was so I could give you all a better future and a strong foundation to build upon.

This softball season, you poured so much love into the girls. You were always there, always encouraging, always supporting, and always leading by example.

I call her my love child because Her dad and I didn’t just have a baby—we created something that represented the love we share.

While I was carrying her, I was fighting to survive, fighting to build a business, and fighting to become a successful Black woman of excellence. There were so many obstacles that were meant to make me quit. So many moments that could have broken me.

Everything that was meant to destroy me only made me stronger. By God’s grace, I made it through every obstacle, and today I stand as a self-sufficient, blessed, prosperous, and deeply grateful woman.

I didn’t name my daughter after a person. I named her after the chapter of my life that God had carried me through.

I had discovered that I was a resilient woman.

So I named her Resilience.

And she has lived up to her name every single day. Whether it’s softball, soccer, basketball, or anything else she puts her heart into, she gives it her all. She is determined, fearless, and never backs down from a challenge.

Continue living up to the powerful name you carry. Mommy is so proud of the young lady you’re becoming, and I know God has incredible plans for your life.🏆🥎

It’s amazing how someone you never expected can completely change your life, filling it with so much joy, purpose, and unconditional love.

I built my business with this little girl on my hip. From the time she was a newborn, she has been right beside me through meetings, renovations, closings, property tours, and late nights. She has grown alongside every dream I’ve worked so hard to build.

Today, I look at my business, then I look at my daughter, and I can’t believe how quickly time has flown.

I’ve coached you since you were little enough to swing a bat and catch a ball, so today my heart is overflowing with pride as I congratulate you on receiving the Big Catcher Award! 🥎🏆 Watching your confidence, determination, and love for the game grow has been one of my greatest blessings.

❤️ Every sport my daughters play, he never misses a game or a practice. He’s my children’s godfather, but he made sure EVERY girl on our team felt loved—always showing up with fruit, juice, and encouragement every time we hit the field.

I know the girls keep you going and give you purpose to keep showing up, but please know—we need you just as much as you need us. Thank you for all the kindness and love you’ve shown my daughters and me. You are deeply loved and appreciated! ❤️

When kids are genuinely happy, it often reflects the love, support, and stability they receive at home. 💚

Kamauri “Sonic” Baylis was one of the fastest players on our team, but what impressed me most was her consistency. Whatever Coach Kay taught her, she took it to heart and executed it exactly as instructed. She was always eager to learn and grow.

Her mom was present at every single practice and every game—not just physically, but fully engaged, supportive, and hands-on. That kind of commitment makes a tremendous difference in a child’s confidence and development.

Some of them will become doctors, attorneys, teachers, business owners, maybe even congresswomen. Knowing I had the opportunity to plant seeds in their hearts will make me feel like I truly lived a life of purpose. Ava, thank you for always running up to Coach Kay with the BIGGEST hugs. 💕 The smallest acts of love leave the biggest impact.

First of all, to know Paisley is to know that sports really aren’t her thing. She’s such a prissy, demure little lady. 💕 But I have to give her all the props for finishing what she started! She stuck with the entire softball season, no matter how hot it got out on that field. 😂 I’m so proud of her perseverance. We worked extremely hard on her throwing, catching, and swinging, and it showed every time she stepped on the field.

A huge shoutout to her mom and dad iam_naylor for being so hands-on and making sure she practiced outside of team practice. That support makes all the difference!

Lizzie isn’t just a superstar on the softball field—she also earned the highest kindergarten score in her entire elementary school! Excellence on and off the field.

Grandpa was on the field, Grandma Latoya Carr-Griggs was in the stands, and Queen gave us all something to cheer for! 🥎❤️ This was her very first season, and she wasn’t afraid to step up to the plate.
