Below you'll find descriptions of the various services provided:
Last Will and Testament: A Last Will and Testament is a vital legal document that constitutes the initial building block to any good estate plan. Creating a Last Will and Testament helps ensure that all you leave behind will be cared for and distributed according to your wishes.
Living Will: To make your healthcare wishes clear, a second type of directive provides written instructions to your agent and health care providers. While the Durable POA for Healthcare focuses on the rights and responsibilities of the appointed person, the Living Will focuses on specific instructions for various health challenges that may arise.
Durable Power of Attorney: A Durable Power of Attorney allows you to grant an agent authority to act on your behalf and access documents, accounts, and the information needed to make decisions and take action on your behalf. These may be broad or limited in scope (ie. Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare).
Mediation: Mediation is a process in which a trained neutral mediator helps people in a dispute communicate, understand each other, and hopefully, reach an agreement that satisfies everyone's needs. Mediators do not make decisions for you, provide legal advice, or dictate the terms of your agreement. Rather, mediators help you fulfill your needs by facilitating creative, customized solutions. Unlike courtroom proceedings, which are open to the public, mediation is a confidential process. Business, family, neighborhood, and one-on-one disputes may be effectively resolved in mediation.
Advocacy Training: Learn how to be a better advocate for yourself, your children and even policies you wish to see. Learn where to start, how to preserve a record and how to achieve the results you desire. These trainings are offered one-on-one, in group settings and are available for youth ages 10+.
Will & Estate Training: This training is for churches, organizations, and businesses who want to offer the gift of knowledge. While many people plan for life, far too many fail to plan for death. Death is natural, so let's talk about it, learn how best to plan and learn about comprehensive estate packages.
IEP Support: For parents and guardians needing support to ensure their student's needs are fully met and adequate resources are being provided.
Custody and Parenting Agreements: Work with parents to ensure a binding agreement is created in the best interest of the child(ren). Agreements may include, but are not limited to visitation schedules, medical care, decision making authority, child support payments, schooling and college savings plans.
Separation and Divorce Agreements: Draft binding separation agreements that may be used to avoid litigation in an absolute divorce. Agreements may include but are not limited to distribution of marital property, alimony, custody arrangements, name changes and debt settlements.
Contract Review: Analyze various contracts, employment offers, leases and business agreements to ensure client interests are protected.
Pro Se Support: Provide guidance, support, document interpretation and assist with trial preparation for clients representing themselves in various legal matters.
General Advocacy: Engage in general advocacy where clients have faced discrimination, difficulties or unjust treatment at the hands of employers, professionals, peers or institutions.
