GIFR was founded by internationally award-winning researcher, Jay P. Singh, PhD. Dr. Singh received his doctorate in psychiatry from the University of Oxford and has served as the Senior Clinical Researcher for the Swiss Department of Justice in Zurich as well as a clinical associate at Yale School of Medicine. He has published over 40 books, chapters, and peer-reviewed articles in some of the highest impact medical, psychiatric, and psychological journals. Having conducted research in over 50 countries, Dr. Singh has given invited lectures at Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Cornell, Brown, Dartmouth, and the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Singh has also been the recipient of numerous awards from other professional organizations including the American Psychology-Law Society, the American Institute for the Advancement of Forensic Studies, the Royal College of Psychiatrists, the European Congress on Violence in Clinical Psychiatry, the Society for Research in Child Development, and the Society for Research in Adolescence.
